Thoughtfully designed for couples or solo getaways, this history rich mud-brick woodwork shed has been lovingly restored into a cozy guesthouse, Nestled beside our family home which is on a generous three-quarter acre block. Thoughtfully designed to offer a sense of privacy and seclusion for couple or solo getaways. RTR is in a family neighborhood, days start early and filled with activity and enjoyment, as night settles it becomes quiet and still. This is not a place for loud outdoor music or parties, but rather for peaceful, relaxed evenings unwinding whilst enjoying all the amenities. You may occasionally see (or hear) us and our two mini dachshunds in our front yard, but your space remains your own! Located in Ocean Beach, a popular coastal spot close to the main beach & known for its natural beauty and relaxed vibes. Open-plan living and sleeping space with a Super King bed and a comfy seating area with Smart TV, Free Netflix and fast Starlink Wi-Fi. Indoor fireplace for cosy winter nights. Fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine. Bathroom with spacious shower and toilet. Private patio with BBQ, outdoor bath and a rinse-off shower at the entrance. *Due to safety & decor, unfortunately no children, infants or pets. Shoes off please.

*Right next to the Bibbulmun Track (Mount Hallowell section).

2.7 km to Ocean Beach (25 min walk along paddocks and inlet or 4 min drive).

18 km to Elephant Rocks, Elephant Cove & Greens Pool (15 min drive).
One of the perks of our location is being just a short drive or stroll to Prawn Rock Channel & Ocean Beach (main beach). You may notice some car activity during the day as everyone heads for a surf & swim, but it settles down beautifully and nights are peaceful and very quiet. As RTR is in a neighbourhood setting, you may occasionally hear children playing or everyday sounds like lawns being mowed etc.

We’re a friendly (and sometimes lively) bunch with two “alert-every-arrival-on-the-property” dachshunds that want our guests to feel at home, comfortable & relaxed, so if we happen to cross paths for the first time, a quick hello is always appreciated. However, we always respect our guests privacy & space so you can enjoy quality Denmark time and some R&R at RTR.

Ocean Beach is a high fire-risk area, fireplace not to be used during warmer months, restricted burning months or during fire bans. *A single bag of firewood, per stay, provided during May-Oct (colder months) depending on availability. We’re unable to offer an unlimited supply to help keep costs reasonable.

Professionally maintained with regular pest control; we have no infestations. Set on a large, nature-filled block near Ocean Beach, so occasional wildlife and insects (birds, reptiles, rodents, flies, mosquitoes, spiders etc) are normal. No refunds or compensation for such encounters. Please keep doors/fly screen door closed and use the insect spray provided should you need it.

Denmark is a country town, and during stormy weather, occasional power outages can occur. Western Power usually restores outages quickly. Shorter outages are considered part of country living and do not qualify for refunds.

For your safety, a clearly visible single exterior security camera with a motion activated spotlight is located at the entrance only. We value your security while also respecting your privacy, there are no other cameras inside, outside or overlooking private spaces. A smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and fire blanket (kitchen area) are provided for your peace of mind.
About the Host & Family
After years as expats in Namibia, Angola & Dubai, with a farm childhood in South Africa, we settled in Perth before discovering Denmark. We fell in love with its beauty, community, nature and sea & feel deeply grateful to call it home. We’ve poured our heart and soul into creating this cosy space, and our wish is that you enjoy a warm, relaxed and memorable stay in Denmark, experiencing it as we do: peaceful, special and a little magical, your home away from home.

We loved our stay at Round Tin Roof - it was one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Riëtte was such a friendly, welcoming, and responsive host without ever imposing. The space itself is amazing, even better than the photos. We got mixed weather on our trip, but it didn't feel like a problem because were so happy to stay in. The bed is huge and so comfortable, the home is equipped with everything you could need, it's spacious and has a big outdoor area with a lovely bath, and the experience felt really generous with all the touches and considerations. It's also a great location, so it was easy to get everywhere. I couldn't recommend more, we'll be back.

My partner and I stayed for two nights. Riëtte allowed an earlier check in and a late check out which allowed us to spend more time exploring the area (the outdoor bath). The accomodation itself was extremely well thought through with pretty much everything you needed. The few treats that were supplied were also a lovely gesture. My partner is already talking about another weekend out there in the future.

We had the absolute best stay at the Round Tin Roof!! Every single detail was exceptional, well thought out and seriously above and beyond. Riette the host was so sweet and amazing communication throughout, making sure we had the nicest time possible. The outdoor bath was chefs kiss. You need to stay here! Perfectly stocked kitchen too which you don’t often get at airbnbs. Easy drive to all restaurants and local tourist destinations :)

We had the most wonderful stay at Round Tin Roof in Denmark! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautifully decorated the space is — every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered. It feels warm, stylish and incredibly welcoming.

Riëtte was incredibly helpful and kind. The house is beautiful, it feels very homely, clean and cosy. She provided many suggestions of what to do and clear instructions about the house that were easy to follow. The location is perfect, very close to all the amazing beaches. During our stay at Riëttes super lovely Round Tin Roof we had the best and relaxed time during our WA roadtrip. It all started with a warm welcome when we arrived - a little surprise and a welcome note waited for us as soon as we entered the door. We felt so comfortable and welcomed straight away. The Round Tin Roof is large enough for two people, you have a fully equipped kitchen, a large and so comfortable bed, a nice sofa and TV where you can watch Netflix after beach hopping or even do a barbecue in your own little garden! Truly the best Airbnb we have stayed at in Australia and Riëtte and her family are very friendly and simply the best 🥰 also the area is quite nice, you have supermarkets, restaurants, nice beaches and views and even kangeroos across the street!

We immediately felt at home! The accommodation was the most beautiful during our entire trip to Australia. We would have loved to have stayed longer! We spent a few wonderful days at the Round Tin Roof as part of our honeymoon and immediately felt at home. Riette is an amazing host who welcomed us very warmly from the first moment. You can really feel how much love, care, and passion went into furnishing the apartment – every little detail has been thoughtfully considered, and nothing is missing.
The location is perfect for day trips and exploring the surrounding area. The small garden was a real highlight for us – ideal for enjoying breakfast in the morning and a lovely barbecue evening outdoors. We truly had a memorable stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and special accommodation.
